Hernia of the neck or lower back

Hernia nuclei pulposi or hernia of the intervertebral disc, is a condition of the back (hernia of the back) or the neck (hernia of the neck) in which the intervertebral disc bulges. In medicine, this condition is often abbreviated as HNP. Nerves can become pinched, which can cause severe pain, or even failure of the nerve, resulting in loss of muscle function (for example, the inability to pull the foot towards the shin) or a 'numb' feeling.

The pain may be mild, but it may also be so severe that the patient can only move on his or her hands and knees.

Here too, proper research is needed to arrive at a sound treatment plan. In particular, ''soft techniques'' from manual therapy can be very helpful!
